New Years Resolutions

Postby Alice » December 30th, 2014, 3:31 am

What are your new years resolutions?

Mine are to get a little more exercise, which I've already gotten a start on because I'm finally starting to put on a little weight from too sedentary a lifestyle, and to learn more about web development (most specifically php and maybe learning more javascript) so I can be a better host for the site, which I've also already gotten started on a bit.

Weight loss, being more outgoing, contributing more to things, paying off debts. I'll think of more stuff later.

- Start school again in the fall as a part time student either online or at TR
- Wrap things up in my Steam library (not much left, really. Many things half done however)
- Find a new hobby
- Perhaps new hobby will be learning proper hex editing
- Purchase a car, cash transaction.
- TBD
Not to be confused with the one from the Talkhaus, please read this first.

Being social is completely overrated. Being antisocial is where it's at.
-Become cuter :o

This is the best goal though.

- Get better internet
- Finish my game
- This may sound odd, but stop playing sports. Seriously I hate playing them and get so freaked out about them, and the only reason I play them is because I get pressured into it. I'll certainly still put up a good effort to stay in shape but yeah.

Well, that's kinda a negative attitude, Jolpe. But yeah, I know what you mean :/.

Well, regardless, my resolutions are basically to be more social, to try to get back into school, and to finally beat these games I'm sitting on.

Anyone who's actually serious about their resolution would make sure to keep up with them.

Wow, I should post mine!
-Make video game video more
-Improve physical appearance
-Stop spending half the day sitting idly (literally doing nothing but thinking)
-Actually address my possible health issues
-Contemplate the idea of getting a job but not actually do it
-Mentally prepare myself for when I inevitably must stop ignoring the real world
-Puzzle out how to become interested in things
-Not do any of these things due to being well aware of my inability to accomplish anything

Gonna be a great new year. Or will it :?:

So who kept to their new year's resolutions this year?

I ended up dropping the exercise. More out of forgetfulness than anything though. I completely forgot about it at some point along the way. As people can probably tell I've kept to the other part quite well though. Although more javascript than php as opposed to what I stated I was going to shoot for but that's not really too big a deal.

Edit:
Jolpengammler wrote:yeah (I hate New Years Resolutions, because who the f*** holds up to them anyways??)

I may not have perfectly held up to mine but I did a fairly thorough job with half of it.

My goals for 2016 include getting healthy/exercising more, getting a fucking job that pays more than minimum wage, and starting to pay off my debt.
Exciting, right?

On a scale from

to

how cute are you now, and how cute do you want to become next year?
...this is very important.

Cute / Cute

My new year's resolution is to move out of my home town and find new employment as a writer (not necessarily in that order). The magazine I used to write for went down the drain, and now I'm left with free time outside my studies that I'm not sure how to use.
